Opruimactie galgeschoor 12 maart 2016 - Port of Antwerp

Message in a bottle

New investment for Induss in the port of Antwerp

Antwerp, 6 November 2014 – Induss I grows 50%

Since 2010 water factory Induss I, in the port of Antwerp, with a capacity of 7 million m³, has been providing demineralised water to the surrounding industry. These are mainly refineries and chemical companies that use demineralised water to make high pressure steam or use it directly in their production process.

Vito's materials research at the basis of demiwater network for the Port of Antwerp

A nearly twenty-kilometre long distribution network has been built to supply the Port of Antwerp with demineralised water. To guarantee water quality, the company Induss asked VITO to identify the most appropriate piping material for the distribution network.

The collaboration with Induss enables us to reduce our carbon footprint. Transparency in our partnership is also the key for better cost control of water and steam.

We sustainably reduced our demin water cost
Thanks to Induss’ full examination and mapping of my various water needs, I now receive guaranteed quality and secured delivery of industrial water for my production line and that at a fixed price for a full contract length.
